The on-going 3rd Wednesday Poetry Contests
Begining with the Summer 2020 Issue, 3rd Wednesday will offer every submitter the opportunity to enter regular submissions in an optional 50/50 contest.
When you submit your poems Submittable will present you the following option:
“Mark this box to enter your poems in our 50/50 contest. One winning poem, selected by our poetry editors, will be awarded a prize of one half of the net contest entry fees with a guaranteed minimum prize of $50 plus a one year subscription to 3rd Wednesday in print (a $28 value). The submission period for this contest is from 02/15/2020 to 05/15/2020.”
In the past Third Wednesday has sponsored two regular contests each year.

- Annual George Dila Memorial Flash Fiction Contest (Fall Issue)
In addition we hold various themed contests for the Summer and Winter issues.
All contests offer cash prizes and publication in Third Wednesday Magazine for winners and honorable mentions. See the individual contest pages for details.
Depending on response, the ongoing 50/50 contest may eventually replace the themed contests.
