Contributor Book Listing

Have a new book or a recent one? 3rd Wednesday can help you spread the news in three ways.

MyPoems1. We can post an announcement on the 3rd Wednesday website and on our Facebook page. There is no cost for this. Access is through Submittable. Look for the “Contributor Book Listing” form and upload your information. Your free listing will reach hundreds of potential readers.

2. You can request a 10-to-15-minute reading with our editor over Zoom. Just mark the box when you upload the information for your free book listing. We’ll contact you to schedule a Zoom meeting. The meeting will be just you and the moderator who will introduce you. The recorded meeting will appear on our YouTube Channel so you can include the link on your social media and in any publicity releases. This service is free of charge but you’re welcome to make a small donation of $5 as an add-on to the form.

3. Interested in doing a live virtual release party over Zoom? 3rd Wednesday can sponsor and facilitate a one-hour program. You will put your own program together and invite your own guests. We’ll also spread the word to 3rd Wednesday contributors if you want us to. We will provide tech support and introduce you and your book. We’ll be using our account, so you won’t need a paid Zoom account of your own. Your launch party will be recorded so you can send the link to anyone you like after the event. Indicate your interest when you fill in the form for your free book listing and we’ll contact you by email to discuss the details and schedule your party.

This more ambitious program does come with a fee. Once a date and time have been set, you will be sent a link that will take you to a non-public category in Submittable where you can make a credit card payment of $60 (US). We’ve seen publishers charge their own authors as much as $150 for this service.

How to get started:

Click the link to our portal at Submittable. Upload the information as directed by the form. Be sure to include blurbs or other information you want us to share. Include link(s) where the book can be purchased. If an author’s bio is included, it should be no more than one hundred words.

You’ll be putting all this info in a .doc or .docx file. You’ll also have an opportunity on the form to upload pictures of the front cover of your book and a head shot of the author if you wish (in .jpg format).

Any past TW contributor is welcome to participate.
