We welcome submissions of poetry, short fiction and visual arts. See the guidelines for each by clicking the appropriate link in the menu above. Non-contest submissions are open on a rolling basis. Occasionally we may close submissions temporarily if there is a surplus of submissions for an issue. We do not usually hold subs over for a later issue. Our response time is usually a month or less. It is sometimes longer for fiction.
Publication Rights: By submitting work to Third Wednesday, the author grants us First Right to publish the work in print and electronically (on our blog site). Work that is accepted will be published in one print issue of Third Wednesday. All copyrights revert to the author upon publication.
Payment: We are a token paying market, usually $3 per published piece, and a print copy of the issue in which your work appears.
